The year began with a sense of enthusiasm and purpose as I embarked on my first day at the office, surrounded by inspiring colleagues, ready to make a difference.

Graduating from CIM was a significant milestone in my journey. I earned the esteemed title of Chartered Marketer, and celebrating this achievement with my best mate made the moment even more memorable.

I had the incredible opportunity to meet Mr. Chris Daly, the visionary CEO of CIM, and Ms. Maggie Jones, the inspiring Director of Qualifications and Partnerships at CIM, during their visit to Sri Lanka.

February: Celebrating Success Together

February filled me with joy as I celebrated my beloved wife’s MBA graduation. This proud moment showcased her unwavering dedication and remarkable achievements.

In a pivotal strategic budget planning meeting, the DIB management team ignited the path for a year brimming with innovation and collaboration.

March: Balancing Work and Family Life

March was a month of revitalization and strengthening bonds, marked by a rejuvenating weekend escape with family.

Taking part in the Broker Bowling Competition organized by Amana Takaful Insurance alongside the Delmege Team was not just an event but a thrilling and inspiring experience that brought us together in camaraderie and friendly competition.

April: Cherishing Milestones

April marked the Embracing of the vibrant celebration of the Sinhala and Tamil New Year at home and in the office.

May: Exploring Opportunities

A family getaway to Kandy City for blessings at the sacred Sri Dalada Maligawa offered a rejuvenating spiritual experience.

Meeting with Prashant Grover, CEO, and the management team of Allianz Insurance Lanka Limited was an inspiring professional highlight that ignited discussions on meaningful strategic partnerships and exciting market opportunities.

I had the privilege of attending my best friend Shiran’s wedding at the Early Regency Hotel in Kandy. It was a beautiful celebration of love and connection.

My second son’s first birthday milestone was a heartfelt celebration, symbolizing the joy and growth that inspired our family on this beautiful journey.

My 39th birthday celebration at the office was a powerful reminder to embrace growth and live with gratitude.

November: Honoring Dedication

November was a month of remarkable achievements and heartfelt goodbyes. The farewell ceremony for Mr. Chula De Silva, celebrating 22 years of unwavering dedication at Delmege Insurance Brokers, was truly inspiring.

Achieving the esteemed title of Practicing Marketer Status from the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing is a powerful affirmation of my professional journey and perseverance.

Attending the SLII 21st International Insurance Congress in 2024 was the perfect culmination of a month brimming with growth and inspiration.

Honored with the prestigious title of highest contributing broker in the Platinum category, achieving an impressive GWP of 696 million at the Allianz Insurance Lanka Inter insurance broker recognition ceremony at Waters Edge, a testament to dedication and excellence.

December: A Year-End of Recognition and Impact

December marked a triumphant conclusion to the year, highlighted by the successful annual health camp for SDB headquarters staff, proudly supported by Continental Insurance.

Delmege Insurance Brokers has proudly risen to the number one position in the overall insurance brokering market, as reported by the Insurance Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka (IRCSL) for the financial year 2023. This remarkable achievement was accomplished by surpassing 76 respected companies in the brokerage industry, showcasing an impressive overall market share of 7.9%.

Being recognized as the Insurance Broker Professional of the Year for 2024 at the Niranjan Nagendran Memorial Awards in collaboration with SLIBA is a profound honor, reflecting a year marked by unwavering dedication and significant impact.
